Inside the cab of a mid-century truck, blue paint clings to the dashboard in uneven patches. The steering wheel sits bare, its thin rim worn smooth. Black vinyl on the bench seat has cracked and split, exposing the padding beneath. Grime coats every surface. Tools and small objects collect on the floor between the pedals. Through the rear window, timber framing and the red body of a second vehicle are visible. Light enters through haze on the windscreen, flat and grey.
