Highly Commended: 2016 National Trust Heritage Awards

At the 2016 National Trust Australia Heritage Awards, Lost Collective was awarded highly commended in the multimedia category.

Lost Collective was honoured to receive a Highly Commended award in the Multimedia category at the 2016 National Trust Australia (NSW) Heritage Awards. It is truly humbling to be recognised among organisations and individuals who are committed to preserving Australia’s rich cultural and architectural history.

Preserving these spaces is not just about capturing striking images; it is about safeguarding history. We live in an era where financial interests often outweigh heritage concerns, and when that happens, the past—both physical locations and the narratives tied to them—can disappear. Lost Collective aims to shine a light on these places and bring their voices back into the present.

Congratulations to the Winners

Alongside Lost Collective, a huge congratulations goes to the dual winners of the Multimedia category:

The Importance of Heritage Preservation

The National Trust is dedicated to preserving Australia’s natural and cultural heritage, ensuring that these stories remain accessible for future generations. The National Trust Heritage Awards recognise the efforts of individuals and organisations dedicated to preserving heritage and history, ensuring that future generations can understand the past and how it has shaped the present. It’s an honour to be part of that broader conversation.
