A line of graffiti runs the full width of an interior wall at Bradmill, Yarraville: 'what you got is this whole miserable subculture.' The factory had been closed for years by the time it was painted; the words read like they had always been there.

About this print
Someone took the time to paint this across the full width of the factory wall. The denim factory had been closed for years by then, but the sentiment settled in like it had always been there.
Brett Patman
The series
Bradmill Denim
The Bradford family founded Bradford Cotton Mills in Sydney in 1927. The company expanded into Victoria in 1940, began producing denim in 1945, and grew into Bradmill Industries Ltd. The Yarraville factory on Francis Street was the country's only indigo denim mill.
