Zoom blur pulls streaks of red, white and yellow neon outward from a point just above centre, dissolving the street into light and motion. A broad green sign holds the upper left, its white characters still legible against the wash, while a red sign anchors the lower right. Beneath the blur, a commercial street in the Ueno district of Tokyo carries its nightlife into the dark.

Neon signage streaks outward from a central vanishing point in a narrow Japanese alley. Green, red, pink and gold light smears across the frame. Kanji characters on lanterns and shopfront boards dissolve into radial blur. The wet ground catches colour and doubles it. A dark figure stands at the centre, still among the distortion.
