From the field notes

A wide timber deck wraps around a dark red weatherboard building. Steel posts support a corrugated iron roof overhead. A eucalypt trunk grows through the decking, its bark peeling at chest height. Chain-wire fencing lines the balcony edge. Beyond the railing, dense bushland drops away steeply. A single wooden table sits against the glass. The boards are weathered but intact. Overcast light flattens the colour.
