From the field notes
Steel portal frames span the full width of the warehouse floor. Daylight cuts through gaps in the corrugated iron roof, falling across a field of debris. Laminated boards, blue tarpaulins, plastic sheeting, broken furniture. Every vertical surface carries layers of aerosol paint. The concrete slab is barely visible beneath it all. The air looks thick with dust and the chemical tang of old spray cans.
