04 FROM THE FIELD NOTES

Weathered hardwood boards lean away from the frame. The roof is corrugated iron, rust-pocked and lifting at the ridge. Chicken wire hangs loose where a wall section has given way. A small window, glass still intact, sits off-centre. Moss thickens along the stone footings. A galvanised water tank, half-height, rests against the back wall. The grass is winter green, dense and wet. The sky is flat grey. No horizon visible.
