Light filters through grimy panes of the front corner window at this abandoned post office. Peeling paint and decaying timber frame the view into a forgotten interior.

Weathered timber cladding in grey and faded red holds the corner together. Barely. The window frame leans inward, glass panes still intact behind splintered mullions. A dead vine has grafted itself to the facade, its thick trunk splitting where it meets the doorframe. Rusted corrugated iron sags across the roofline. Green grass pushes up against the stone footings. The air looks cold, heavy with fog.
