The elevated front facade of a forgotten post office stands against the sky. Its grand architecture speaks of past civic importance, now slowly fading with time. Decay marks its once proud structure.

04 FROM THE FIELD NOTES

A weatherboard homestead sits low against green pasture, seen from above. The corrugated iron roof is stripped back to bare rust in long vertical panels, paint peeling in grey and oxide brown. Two brick chimneys rise from the ridgeline. Timber cladding has silvered and warped along the front elevation. A corrugated water tank leans against the far side. Overgrown fruit trees crowd the fence line, bare branches tangled with new spring growth. Late afternoon light rakes across the grass in warm streaks.
