Dense foliage and creeping vines relentlessly consume the abandoned post office facade. Nature reclaims the structure, its original purpose lost to time and decay. Light filters through the green canopy.

04 FROM THE FIELD NOTES

Rusted corrugated iron sags across the roofline, its red-brown surface mottled with pale oxidation. Weathered timber boards form a back wall, their grain split and grey. Blackberry canes and bare deciduous branches push through from every side, tangling across what was once a yard. A strip of bright green grass holds on beneath the canopy. Brick chimneys stand at either end. The sky is flat and overcast.
