Sunlight pierces dense, overgrown foliage, revealing the crumbling facade of a forgotten post office. Vines snake across its weathered walls. The garden reclaims the path to this silent, derelict structure.

04 FROM THE FIELD NOTES

Rusted corrugated iron buckles away from the timber frame of an outbuilding. Chicken wire hangs loose where a wall panel has given way. The roof still holds, faded to a dull oxide red. Bare fruit trees press in from all sides, their branches reaching across the structure. Blackberry canes and ground cover choke what was once a kept garden. The light is flat and overcast. Everything is damp.
