A high-angle view reveals the decaying roof of the forgotten post office. Rust stains the corrugated iron, and broken skylights expose the interior to the elements. Nature slowly reclaims the structure.

04 FROM THE FIELD NOTES

From directly above, the corrugated iron roof of the main building stretches wide across the frame. Rust has consumed most of the metal, leaving alternating bands of deep brown and bare silver where paint once held. Multiple gabled extensions jut from the main structure. A smaller outbuilding sits to the north-west, its roof still partly reflective. Green grass grows thick around both buildings, pressing close to the walls. Dead branches tangle against the gutterlines. A round water tank sits at the lower edge, its lid stained orange. No vehicles. No tracks in the grass.
