About this series
Parramatta Road follows a route used for thousands of years by the Wangal, Wallumedegal, Burramattagal, and Cadigal peoples before colonial adoption around 1789 to 1791. Today it runs 23 kilometres through Sydney's inner west and suburbs, with used car dealers at the Parramatta end and a mix of historic shopfronts, new apartment blocks, and WestConnex demolition at the city end. This series moves between streetscapes and individual buildings: 107 Parramatta Road in Annandale, an 1890s Victorian Filigree shopfront designed by Sheerin and Hennessy; the Olympia Milk Bar in Stanmore, which opened in 1939. Fine art photography prints of Parramatta Road, Sydney, available as wall art.
