The O-I Glass site was originally built around 1880, and part of the plant is still in operation today producing glass bottles.
What you see here is as far as I know of O-I Glass, the closures plant which was entirely demolished years ago.
I think this is one example where someone will dig out a photo of the external facade decades from now once apartments or whatever building is put in its place and think “what a shame we didn’t preserve that by making use of the facade”

On top of this, I read somewhere that the O-I Glass site was one of the first examples where living quarters for the workers was built as part of the factory. You can see some of it in this album.
This has been one of the most difficult sites to research. I can only find limited information on the history. I think this was the closures plant, but I’d need someone to confirm.
